What exactly do you do? What does your typical day look like?
I’m responsible for everything the management team needs support with. In the beginning, it was mainly organizational tasks. Over time, I’ve become more involved in the subject matter and now also take care of presentations and prepare figures for budgeting and accounting. Planning and organizing internal events – from pizza meetings to the summer party – as well as workshops and coaching sessions are also part of my responsibilities. During holiday periods, I also support my colleagues with back-office tasks and on the phone.
What makes your daily work at haude electronica special?
I appreciate the calm, relaxed working environment. It’s not as common as you might think, but it helps me stay focused and creates a very pleasant atmosphere. For me, that’s definitely something special, because I’ve experienced it differently elsewhere. I also really value the benefits that make my workday more enjoyable – for example, the lunch catering from “Schrankerl” (which is even subsidized by the company), a really great coffee machine, flexible home office arrangements, and a free ticket for public transport.
What is your favourite place in the office?
I’m not the type to move around the office a lot 😉. So I’ll say: it’s clearly my desk. I’ve set it up nicely and made it feel cozy with lots of personal touches. That’s why you’ll find me at my desk 99% of the time – it’s simply where I feel most comfortable.
What is your “happy place” after work? How and where do you relax?
I relax best in front of my sewing machine. 😊 I graduated from the Fashion School in Mödling and I’m almost always sewing something. Mostly summer dresses, but I’ve also made my own outfits for celebrations, weddings, and balls. Most recently though, it wasn’t a dress but a pink pyjama set. 😅 One day I’d love to afford an industrial sewing machine, but unfortunately they’re not cheap. And of course, two more contributors to my relaxation are my cats – Helmut and Heimdall. 💕
We enjoy cooking for a good cause at the company. What do you like to eat most?
Pasta – without a doubt. Pasta in all shapes, colours and variations. There isn’t a pasta dish I would say no to. I also cook and bake – have been doing so since my teenage years. During the week, it needs to be quick, but on the weekends, I enjoy making more elaborate dishes. However, green beans are a no-go for me – and I really can’t stand fennel or coriander either.
Who would you like to work with someday – whether it’s a colleague from another department or a superstar – and why?
(thinks for a moment) It’s not very creative, but I’d say my best friend. Not just because we’d have a lot of fun all day. 😉 Out of all the people I know, she’s the person with the most drive – she’s bursting with energy. It would definitely shake up the calm working environment I mentioned earlier, but in a positive way.
Which app on your phone could you never live without?
I’m a classic Gen Z: definitely TikTok. It’s a habit that started during COVID. However, I don’t just use TikTok for entertainment – I get a lot of inspiration for my sewing projects there. For the same reason, I also couldn’t easily give up Pinterest – so it’s a tough choice. 😉
